Are you staying in London for Shrove Tuesday? Obviously if you’re staying in a Clarendon apartment you could whip up a pancake batter yourself and have a go at home. But if you’re cooking everyday where’s the fun in that? Treat yourself and head out into the capital for the places we think are flippin’ perfect for Pancake Day.
Crepe Affaire
A well-known chain with branches in Wimbledon, Spitalfields, Chiswick and both Westfield’s go sweet or savoury, top with Belgian chocolate or even a liqueur. Our mouth is drooling just thinking of the various toppings on offer. So why not try their crepes for either, breakfast, lunch or dinner, you will not be disappointed!
Jackson and Rye
There are some people (crazy ones) who only have pancakes for dessert on Shrove Tuesday. Others (sensible people) have pancakes for both their main course AND dessert. Jackson and Rye in Soho is a place for the second group. The Buttermilk Pancakes are part of the Weekend brunch menu. Might we recommend adding a slab of maple bacon?

An outdoor venue on the South Bank, enjoy homemade crepes and lovely views. This family run business prides itself to its homemade pancakes and crepes and did you know the chef was taught in France? That’s why the crepes are so magnifique! From traditional to more flamboyant toppings, the choice is yours!

An ideal place for families with young children as they have menus that cater for little mouths. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and very inviting on a cold February day!
