UK serviced apartments achieve an average 84% rating in industry assessment.
Clarendon has taken part in a pilot scheme designed to assess the quality of UK serviced apartments, scoring an average rating of 84%. As a leading London serviced apartment provider, Clarendon is a member of ASAP, the association of serviced apartment providers. ASAP’s new Quality Assurance rating is designed to help both providers and corporate businesses ensure that their accommodation meets a minimum standard.
ASAP has introduced the quality assessment to measure legal, health and safety as well as good practice measurements across a serviced accommodation provider. The analysis consists of a sample site visit, an overnight stay and a review of the core requirements as well as how the business is run. The assessment includes fire safety procedures, how easy mobility and access are at the venue, checking smoke alarms and carbon monoxide tests, lifts and the adherence to rules and regulations. The assessor also reviews the experience from how easy it is to book as well as the condition of the apartment, how the stay matches up to what is being advertised as well as housekeeping and general cleanliness.

ASAP is an independent industry body for serviced apartment providers, representing the views of the sector within Ireland and the UK. The Quality Assessment programme is designed to allow accommodation providers to display their accreditation and enable consumers and guests to have confidence when making a booking and ensuring the provider adheres to a certain standard.
As well as the ASAP Quality Assurance, Clarendon also relies on guest feedback via Feefo, enabling guests to rate and review their stay at a Clarendon serviced apartment. 93% of Clarendon guests rate their stay as “excellent”.
