What to do in London on Christmas Day

On Christmas Day public transport will not be on duty and most shops will be closed.

However, that doesn’t mean London has nothing to offer.

Given the lively and sparkling atmosphere, you can take the opportunity to make an open-air around the city, by foot or even by bicycle, to admire the Christmas lights. You certainly can also take a trip to Christmas markets or wear shoes.

If you can not stand the cold air, you could grab lunch at one of the many pubs and restaurants offering a Christmas Lunch. Beware and do your research in advanced though, as many pubs and restaurants require you to book a table prior to Christmas day.

Most museums are closed, except for the Ripley’s Believe It or Not in Piccadilly Circus. Whilst if you love sports, you can not beat the Peter Pan Cup in Hyde Park, the annual race starring the qualified members of the Serpentine Swimming

Boxing Day in London

London is well known for its boxing day sales. Head to Oxford Street for a mixture of highstreet and high-end brands, Regent Street for designer goods or Knightsbridge for Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
