As 2014 comes to an end we’re reflecting on a successful 12 months at Clarendon Serviced Apartments and we’re planning for the next year.
It’s been a great year for Clarendon as London and the rest of the UK continues to strengthen as it emerges from the global economic crisis. We’ve seen our clients grow in confidence again and get back to what they do best; coming to London to do business. Our property portfolio has continued to grow and we’ve spent our time listening to and talking to our clients. We opened new serviced apartments in Rose Street and Litchfield Street both situated in the West End, taking the number of Clarendon locations to 18 with a choice of over 200 apartments.
As well as opening new developments we’re continuing to give love to the rest of our portfolio. 2014 has been a year of continuous upgrades right across our London properties. We’ve been updating kitchens as well as redecorating and adding new flooring in Richmond Park. We’ve introduced faster broadband in Clarendon’s Lanterns Court in Canary Wharf offering 10MB broadband which is essential for our business customers. These upgrades will continue into 2015 as we continue to offer accommodation that’s of the highest standard for our guests.
We welcome many international guests looking for extended stay accommodation in London. Often, those guests come to us saying they need to bring their pet with them as well as their family. That’s why in 2014 we made some of our locations pet friendly, including Wraysbury Hall, Clarendon Kew, Richmond Park and Minories. We can adapt our properties to suit the needs of our business guests but we understand that sometimes what our guests need is to have their pets with them. Business travel is changing and to work successfully in the market we have to be flexible.
This year at Clarendon we’ve been delighted that our customer satisfaction ratings have remained so high. We use platform Feefo and our average ratings are 93% which is excellent. We work hard to know our market and to provide accommodation that our guests enjoy staying in and make the most out of their visit.
So what does 2015 hold for Clarendon? We have exciting new locations in the pipeline that we’ll be announcing I the first quarter of 2015. We always listen to our clients and they’ve been telling us they want more choices in London’s business districts, so that’s what we’ll deliver. We’ve recently taken part in a pilot scheme with ASAP making sure our accommodation means an independent quality assessment which gives our guests peace of mind.
We know that more people are turning to serviced apartments as they look for extended stay accommodation in London. At Clarendon we’ll continue to listen to our customers and provide them with the versatile and flexible accommodation that makes their stay simple, practical and in the height of comfort.
