The best places in London to eat and meet

The working lunch; one of the most important business meetings to get right. You have to choose somewhere with the right tone, food that’s not too messy where you can comfortably talk, make plans and wow your client without a) breaking the bank and b) ensure a private environment. Remember, where you choose says a lot about both you and your business. So if you’re looking for a place in London to both meet, eat and present here are the places we think you should visit.

 The Noodle House, Shaftesbury Avenue

In the heart of the West End this is one of the best places to book in for a client meeting over food as there are a selection of private spaces with their own bars and tea stations. There’s also AV and presentation technology so if you want more of a corporate event then you can blend a great space with delicious southeast Asian food and your own dedicated waiting staff. Definitely gives the idea of thoughtful and excellent customer service, which is exactly what you want your clients to think of you as well.

Core, Bank

Just next to Bank tube station, Core has only been open a few months. There are plenty of event spaces in this building with a maximum capacity of 400 across every room, so if you have a bigger event planned why not do it somewhere with a distinctive urban style like here? There’s a lovely lounge and an outside terrace for summer events with room for 40 people.

Mash, West End,

A good old American steakhouse with a Soho vibe – what’s not to like? There’s everything here from the private dining area to hiring out the whole restaurant and its versatile. The semi private dining space holds 24 so perfect for a big client diner or meeting. An exclusive dining room when you need to be behind closed doors seats 18. If you want to hire the whole space it’s around 350 seated or 450 for a standing reception. The staff will work with you to develop tailored menus as well as canapes.

Devonshire Terrace, Liverpool Street

Just five minutes from Liverpool Street in the historic Devonshire Square this is the perfect spot for private dining with a special twist. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating as well as heated balconies and provision for a private bar. The space is flexible and focused on making sure it suits both the needs of the event and the guests.
