This month the Rugby World Cup starts in the UK. With many of the matches centred around London and Twickenham, London will be the best place to stay for fans travelling to the country. Clarendon’s serviced apartments are centrally located and offer the ideal home from home.

Starting on the 18th September, the Rugby World Cup will see 20 teams from around the world play 48 matches in 13 venues across the country. London will be the centrepiece of six weeks of rugby, hosting 17 of the matches with the World Cup Final taking place in the capital with the final on Saturday 31st October at Twickenham Stadium.

The first match will see England play Fiji, with other of the world’s finest sides from the All Blacks to France, Ireland and Scotland play each other in the first group stages. From 17th October the winners and runners up of the four pools will play each other in the quarter finals.

To coincide with the tournament, for those who can’t get enough of their rugby, there are going to be rugby themed events across the country. In and around London there is the Great British Wheelchair Rugby Community Festival, a Family Fun Day, A Rugby Opera along with special screenings.

For travelling rugby fans if they are following the whole World Cup they need a place to stay that’s both centrally located but also has enough space for them to spread out and enjoy themselves, rather than being cramped for a long period of time. Clarendon has centrally located serviced apartments across the capital, from Covent Garden to Richmond, Kew Bridge to Hammersmith. The serviced apartments to the south west of London, around historic Richmond and Fulham, are ideally located for those who want to stay near the home of English Rugby Twickenham, and still be close enough to London to sample its delights. Clarendon Marylebone is just 20 minutes from Wembley, where many of the matches will be played.

Clarendon’s apartments are studio, one two and three bedroom living spaces which include open plan living and dining rooms, fully fitted kitchens, double and en-suite bedrooms along with family bathrooms. With a greater amount of space to relax, spread out and bring over family and friends and generally have a more comfortable stay. Serviced apartments have more space, bigger rooms and more amenities than hotel rooms. A fully fitted kitchen allows guests to make their own meals, cutting the cost of a stay and allowing more freedom, especially for visiting families.

For rugby fans finding a comfortable and central place to stay for the duration of the World Cup might seem like a pipe dream. A serviced apartment is not only affordable with discounted rates for longer stays but it offers a guest to stay in the centre of London, or close to one of the international grounds where matches will be played while also sampling the delights of the capital, from tourist attractions to restaurants, bars and cafes.
