Clarendon introduces its newest serviced apartments in Covent Garden

Garrick Street becomes Clarendon’s seventh address in Covent Garden, the heart of London’s creative quarter. It’s one of the most exciting places to stay in London.

If you stand at the end of Garrick Street you’re at one of the most famous junctions in London’s West End. To the east is Leicester Square, the famous cinemas and tourist hotspots. To the north is Great Newton Street and Shaftesbury Avenue, theatre heartland with star-studded boards like the Phoenix Theatre and of course the Garrick Theatre. To the west is Covent Garden underground station, the tight knit rows of cafes, bars and restaurants, cobbled piazzas as well as the independent shopping district of Covent Garden. To the South, along St Martin’s Lane, is Trafalgar Square, the River Thames and the Mall. The West End really is the centre of central London.

At Garrick Street itself, Clarendon offers one and two bedroom serviced apartments. Each has open plan living space and dining area, the fully-fitted kitchen is integrated with Siemens appliances while the tiled bathrooms feature walk in showers. In the two bedroom apartments, one double room has an en-suite bathroom, while the second double bedroom is near the second family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Wooden flooring is throughout the apartment which also has original sash windows and louvre shutters for privacy.

Covent Garden might seem like its main focus is culture and theatre, and it’s obviously a huge draw for tourists, but it’s also a thriving business district with a number of magazines, entertainment businesses as well as financial firms  and corporate businesses. Covent Garden is increasingly attractive to small to medium sized firms looking for a place to set up their business, knowing there will be potential clients, like-minded industries and services they can draw on, supply and enable their business to grow.

This business attraction is what, increasingly, is aiding the popularity of Clarendon’s serviced apartments in the neighbourhood. With a minimum stay of 90 nights, Clarendon’s apartments are designed for extended stay. This may include someone working on a contract for several months, who doesn’t want to privately rent for the duration of their contract, or someone relocating to London who needs a place to stay and base themselves from in the capital near to their place of work before they start looking for a permanent family home. The propensity of theatres nearby the serviced apartments mean it could even be actors, performers or dancers, looking for somewhere to stay for the duration of a run and finding a serviced apartment is the ideal solution.

The diversity of Covent Garden’s offer, its centrality and also the desire to have a flexible place to stay is what is making the neighbourhood so attractive for those looking for a serviced apartment. From tourists, business workers and even performers, Covent Garden is the heart of what’s going on in London.
