The international business market

London is becoming a playground for the super-rich. It’s a criticism that’s often levelled against the capital, especially when personalised supercars are seen driving along Regent Street or parked outside Harrods. In truth, London attracts more millionaires than anywhere else in the world; but it isn’t just the super-rich who spend their summers in London.

The super-rich may seem to have little in common with the average businessman, but they do reflect the growing international nature of London, the clientele it attracts and the fact it is seen as a gateway to the world. It isn’t just incredibly wealthy individuals spending their time in London, increasingly business travellers are finding it easier to live in the capital for a fixed period, allowing them to work in the city but not invest in property.

The flexibility of serviced apartments is becoming more attractive to this international business market; being able to choose from a studio to a one, two or even three bedroom serviced apartment enables a business traveller to bring their family with them to the capital.

This taps into the global appeal of the business traveller. If they are working in London for three to six months they might not want to privately rent or buy a home; instead a serviced apartment enables them to live centrally in the capital, allowing their family to go to international schools or see the sights around the capital while they fulfil their contract.

Clarendon’s development in Marylebone, Clarendon Marylebone, is specifically designed for longer-staying executive guests and their families. With a minimum stay of 90 nights, Clarendon Marylebone, located just off Crawford Street, has a mix of studio, one and two bedroom apartments. With open plan living spaces, modern interiors and fully-fitted and equipped kitchens it is both a comfortable and stylish place to live. There is Wi-Fi and Sky TV for entertainment as well.

Marylebone is a highly sought after area for business executives. It has great transport connections to Paddington and Marylebone as well as Baker Street. The High Street is a luxury shopping location. Marble Arch and other central London tourist attractions are nearby. Marylebone is also close to international schools and embassies for those looking to relocate their family on an extended stay and have children they want to enrol.

Serviced apartments offer much more freedom for business executives who want to have the flexibility to travel with their family and have a suitable living space. Millionaires might have the ability to splash the cash and stay wherever they like but business travellers often need to be more circumspect. Yet being careful with travel expenses doesn’t mean business travellers aren’t keen to ensure they get value for money. Being able to stay in well-appointed serviced apartments in the heart of London for the duration of a contract offers the best of both worlds for business executives and families; especially those on extended stay seeking more space and a cost-effective alternative to a hotel.
